Hi guys. I plan to do a full restore of my iPhone when iOS 10.3 and iOS 11 hit. Since my iPhone is my only device to receive the six-digit code for authentication, do I need to turn it off before I restore the phone? I don't want to get locked out of my phone / account.

Thanks in advance!

It theoretically should send you a text message if your trusted device isn't available. And then it would auto-fill the 6 digit code once the text message is recieved.

In a van down by the river
I restored my iPhone 6 (at the time) with Two-Factor turned on. The code was never sent to my phone. I had a heck of a time getting out of that loop. Another time it worked just as Mirollin said.

Just to be on the safe side and not risk what I went through, I would turn it off until you get upgraded. You also might want to consider adding a second authentication phone number to the list. It doesn't have to be an iPhone.

Great advice. I added my GF's number a while back incase a code needed to be sent to her and vice versa, my number is on her account.
