two factor authentication

How to do I select which devices get to receive two factor authentication passcode message. I don't want all my device at home getting the passcode request.

As far as I know there is no option regarding this

If the devices at home are locked, noone should be able to see an authentication code screen. If sharing an Apple ID with someone else, need to setup Family Sharing, or, make the other(s) get their own Apple IDs.

The iPhone I use outside my house are getting the authentication code which defeats the purpose of TWA if someone knows my password.
