Today the two finger swipe is used for navigating between pages in for example Safari. But in Mountain Lion this is used for bringing up the notifications, as far as I can see. How does this work?

As has been discussed before, the feature will only work if you begin swiping from the right edge of the trackpad.

Much like scrolling down on the iPhone is different from the Notifications Center gesture.

That was annoying at best. =)

I have no idea how anyone will just figure this out. Anyways, nice to know. Sorry for the thread necro, but I'm guessing others will struggle with this.
