Two instances of Chrome

I have Chrome on my computer with a set of opened tabs and another backuped up HDD with Chrome with different set of tabs.

If I launch the Chrome from the backup HDD and the one from my main HDD, will I have 2 instances of Chrome working together? Will one affect the other?

is there a file where Chrome stores opened tabs? I want to look at the opened tabs without launching the app itself.

Must be somewhere, but don't know where. Never looked for them.
