1. I can't set perfect colors on the screen. My Eizo monitor is just dead on (I would say: natively without any calibration). The iMac
well, I spent many hours on calibrating it, but still it is not what it should be. Ok, I didnt use any hardware calibrator, just the calibration procedure provided by Apple. However, my experience with many monitors is that if a monitor is naturally correct, I even dont need a hardware calibrator to match both screen and print. On the opposite side if a monitor doesnt have native perfect colors, no hardware will help. This is why I am really upset and afraid that if I cannot get perfect colors based on my eye, nothing else will help. For me the iMacs screen isnt perfect. Its close, but not good enough.
2. The iMacs response disappointed me. I didnt try any serious application like SC5; I just opened few pictures and was surprised that they open slowly-partially. First I can see the top of the picture while the bottom is just grey (or few grey squares). Only after a second a can see entire picture. The files are not small (5-10MB each), but for this machine it should be just instant. Pretty weird.
