I have a blu-ray player and an AppleTV 2. Both have optical audio out. But my receiver only has one optical input.

How do I handle this?

I have one of those, and it works perfectly. You can get automatic optical switches, but those start from £150ish, if I remember rightly.

I you have coaxial digital input ( RCA ) available on your receiver, you can find some inexpensive optical<->coaxial converters. This way you can switch on the receiver

It's worth bearing in mind, though, that an optical to coax convertor would be powered, requiring you to have it plugged in to a wall socket.
