Hi,

Getting a bit ahead of myself, as the new pc hasn't arrived yet.
But, thought I'd ask now anyway.

Have an iMac.
Have just ordered a W10 pc, as i have quite a few programs that apparently will
only run (well) on a W10 pc.
Parallels won't run them, and Bootcamp is so slow going back and forth, it takes all the fun out of it.

So, i bought a new W10 pc.

Question: If both pc's are on, and my present Mac key board, and Mouse, are both wireless, what happens ?

Usable at all ? How would one switch them to what pc is being used at the moment.
Again, both would always be on.

Do the wireless connections use different frequencies on the different pc's ?

If I stay with one keyboard and mouse, just go to a wired setup, and get one of those USB switches ?

How would you handle this ?

Thanks,
Bob

I RDP into my Windows desktop from my iMac using Jump Desktop. I much prefer the iMac’s screen and I have a mechanical wired keyboard. I also have a Logitech MS Master which can be paired with up to 3 machines but I’m happy with RDP and haven’t (yet) found anything that won’t work on it.

Hi,
Do the wireless connections use different frequencies on the different pc's ?

Yes, there are multiple Bluetooth channels. Think about one computer that has both a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse.

BTW, WiFi and your microwave oven both also use frequencies in the same range.
