Hi Everyone,

After a few months I finally completed my first iPhone and iPod Touch app. It called [app]Two Plus Two[/app]. Here is a quick description:

Two Plus Two is a puzzle game that will get your brain flowing.

You are given twelve numbers which you must add together to make a randomly generated number at the bottom of the screen. You get a point for each of the twelve buttons you use. However, you get more points if you do it in the amount of turns displayed! Simple!

Watch out though, there is a set time limit on each one, just to add some excitement!

I was just looking for some feedback on it. How do you think I could have improved the app? What should I do to promote it?

I have some ads on some sites but it doesn't seem to be attracting much attention. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

IN looking at the screen shots, i had to hunt for where the number was at to "make". I'm going to attach it here.

I htink that since that is the goal - it needs to either be first on the list, or something. I think maybe centered under the numbers, with the move limit under it.

then the other stuff under that.

It looks interesting, i'm out of iTunes cash or i'd throw it at my 13yo to play for a bit :D

As for promo, have you given away codes? I don't hang out in that sub-forum so i'm not sure. Also, you could have it be free for a week or so as an intro.

I think you have potential - provided the problems increase at a easy rate (LOL!!) and with some polish on the layout and such, should do ok!

Thanks for the reply! It definitely needs some work, I'm new to all this :p

Ill do what I can to improve the look for the next update. Yeah I made a silly mistake by adding it to the bottom, I will make it more noticeable. I'll add some of the promo codes to the site if you want to get the app :)

I have received feedback from a number of sources and decided to change a few things:

Will be making the "random number" more visible and at the top of the list.
Some extra sounds for the countdown timer
More responsive UI
Couple of changes with how the app responds to touches
changing general look and feel of icons and background.

I haven't received any complaints about the actual gameplay so that will remain the same. Is there anything else I should change/add?

Thanks to everyone who tried the game via promo code. Please let me know what you think.

Hi everyone!

Today, Two Plus Two v1.1 has been approved and released to the app store (and in only 8 days!).

The UI has been mostly updated. Got a very good graphic designer to do up some work for me and I am very happy with the result.

You can now post all of your scores to Twitter and Facebook. Trying to encourage some competitive game-play.

And I integrated OpenFeint leader boards and achievements also. Its a really nice resource to have.

There are some bug fixes, nothing major just a small issue with the timer.

I hope you all enjoy and please let me know of any feedback.

Here are some screenshots....

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

That's a good game you have made. Really makes you think fast!!!

fun puzzler

i love games were you do not mindlessly have to just hit buttons, shoot enemies, or move across the screen. challenging game that actually works your brain and a very nice interface. great job!
