... and is the app store the only way to distribute apps? I have a graphing calculator web app at http://www.mmaatthh.com but i am considering turning it into an iphone app (not web app). Can i distribute it without going through the app store or is that not possible/"legal"?

Also I want to keep the current version as a web app but make the window so it doesn't go all the way to the right. Should I resize the window or just make the font bigger ... I'd rather resize the window. Thanks.

The only way to distribute to a large number of phones without them all being jailbroken is the app store. If you are looking at a smaller number (in-house kind of them) you can use ad-hoc.

You can get an Enterprise membership, but you'll need 500+ employees. This allows you to manage your own application distribution.

With regards to your sizing, look at the viewport meta tag
