I need help from the MR pundits...

1) My macbook hard disk crashed last weekend. Prior to this, i had synced my entire media library onto my AppleTv. Now the question is - is there anyway to get that media back on to my macbook? I understand its a one way sync - but there simply must be a way...HELP!!

2) When browsing photos on AppleTV, I really want to browse an album picture by picture - but cant figure out the settings to do this...it always goes into the photo slideshow with music etc...i just want to be able to view each individual photo in full screen and scroll through my library one at a time...there simply must be a way...HELP!!!

Also - i am not technically inclined and am hoping that the fixes for both these problems do not require hacking open my appleTV, and doing strange things to it...i like my warranty in tact, especially after my hard disk crash on my macbook...

HELP!!! :(

At the moment, as far as I know both of those require hacking the AppleTV. However, the iPod has an option that allows you to sync protected content back to your iTunes library. I am unsure if the AppleTV has this as well, but it might be worth taking a look under one of the menu headings; I'd begin with file.
