A usb hub and a trackball (not a mouse)

Tell me what you have....My favorite usb hub is for the mac mini to sit on so I can't get that one (I have a macbook and it would look stupid...I think). All I hear about usb hubs is how they last 2 months and then they stop working. I want a good one with about 4 to 7 ports.

And I have become obsessed with trackballs....I have used one several times before but now I have a trackball craving....if you have one speak up....I don't like the trackballs with the ball in the middle but tell me your experiences and why you prefer it to a mouse.

Thanks.

i think for a notebook, it's best to just live with what you have for traveling - as in, put up with the 2 USB ports. for home use, i would suggest anything by belkin or d-link. i've purchased hubs from both companies in the past and both have performed quite well. the belkin is more stylish, but the d-link has more ports. d-link also makes a firewire/usb combo hub.

i don't have any experience with a trackball. i don't see the point of it since my mouse has left-right/up-down scrolling and i don't play games (if that's even what they're used for).

I would be using the trackball on a daily basis. I don't play games on computers so I don't know. Trackballs these days have scrolling and multiple button functions.

There are some really small usb hubs out there, perfect for notebook use if you really need more than 2 ports. Mine's made by Belkin.
