1. They are scared. I had to call today to see how much I would be charged for early cancelation and I had a few other misc. questions. The second I said "iPhone", the guy immediately started hating on it. -- "Do you know the iPhone doesn't allow downloads of video, It doesn't allow syncing with exchange servers", etc. Obviously this was fed to them by HQ.

2. Employees are pissed that Verizon didn't act on the iPhone. I also had to run to the Verizon store to pick up a new EvDO card for my Mac. It's been a Verizon day (tomorrow Apple gets their turn.) While purchasing the card, I happened to start talking about the iPhone. One of the employees said that I while back the CEO wrote a memo to all employees explaining his decision.

Not sure if anyone cares, but I thought I'd throw this information into the pot.

That's Odd because when i called for the same exact reason the lady on the other end sounded excited when i mentioned the iPhone. She agreed that it was the coolest phone she had ever seen and then proceeded to tell me that Verizon probably wasn't going to get the phone or anything like it anytime soon from the list of upcoming phones that she had. I just laughed and said yeah I'm gonna pick it up tomorrow wish me luck ;)

Can't afford to break my Verizon contract and get an iPhone right now (the finacee thinks a wedding in 2 months is more important, the nerve). However sometime in 2008 (hopefully in time for 3G) I am definitely getting one.

Wow, you must have been talking to a real person.
