Hello everyone!

I have a Mac Pro 1,1 (upgraded with ssd/21gb ram/ATI HD 5770 mac version) with Yosemite 10.10 installed.

I want to connect 2 monitors to my mac.

Ati HD 5770 has one DVI and two Mini DisplayPort outs.
I bought an adaptor (Apple Original A1307) Mini DisplayPort -> VGA.

So I`ve tried this configuration:
DVI out --> DVI-to-VGA adapter --> VGA Monitor 1 (BenQ 22")
Mini DP --> MDP-to-VGA adapter -- VGA Monitor 2 (Samsung 17")

OSX "sees" both monitors (in system preferences->display), but signal is sent only to the monitor 1 (DVI out on video card).
I`ve switched the monitors between them. Same problem, the monitor from MDP out, still not receiving signal.

I`m doing something wrong? Or I need to set something in OSX?

P.S. Excuse my english.

Have you go to System preference >to display?
Yes. I have two windows: one for BenQ and one for Samsung.
And I can arrange them like this:

But still I don`t have signal on the monitor inserted in Mini DisplayPort.

Yesterday I solved the problem. I bought a Mini DisplayPort to DVI active adapter. Everything works now.
