A similar question was asked on a previous IOS-8 post (LINK) but no one answered the actual question.

When setting up Accounts > Fetch New Data, there are two distinct ways to specify MANUALLY

For example, say you're setting up Fetch for Yahoo Mail.
You go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > FETCH NEW DATA and then:

(a) Tap Yahoo, where you now have to choose between
FETCH and MANUAL. So the first way is to choose MANUAL here

OR

(b) Tap Yahoo, but now choose FETCH returning to the FetchNewData screen. Then below the accounts, there are 4 options for scheduling fetch. (15 min, 30 min, Hourly, Manually). So the second way is to choose Fetch above but choose MANUALLY here.

My question is the same as the post i linked to above:

Is there any difference in these two ways to choose manually?

Perhaps there's no difference except that, in a sense, it makes it possible to have two groups of settings. Where one group will keep its manual setting (chosen with type a) while the other group (chosen with type b) is changed with one click to any other schedule.

What bothers me is that the way its presented implies there's a difference between these two.

That seems like what's likely behind it.
