Hi

Just had a catchup on Steam and found Two Worlds II, is this worth a a go ?

Anybody playing/played it ?

I bit the bullet a while back and bought it from Steam. I'm actually enjoying it a lot more than Dragon Age II, but I think it's personal preference. Dial down some of the "effects" (like depth of focus/motion blur/etc) and it looks fantastic. It also runs really well and doesn't feel like a port (I'm playing it on my Air and it runs great)

I really like it ... but it depends on what you are looking for in a game - and what you thought about the original.

For me, the original was about on par with Oblivion (which I thought was only 'good'). Each game was open world action-RPG, and each has flaws. Oblivion has the well documented broken level system, terrible Oblivion gates, lack of ANY choices or consequences or most other traditional RPG stuff. Two Worlds had awful balancing (I used to joke the I went from being pushed around by kittens to one-hit killing master dragons ... and was only half kidding), and the writing/dialogue was just abysmal.

Two Worlds II is better in every way than the original. I haven't finished it yet (also playing Venetica, The Witcher 2, Avadon and others), but I really have been enjoying it. I grabbed it on GamersGate which gave both the Mac and PC versions. So far I have mostly played on the PC.
