The first time I got a message alert while in a call I thought it sounded weird but thought maybe I just didn't hear it right. Then it happened again last night. My message alert is "glass", not sure if that makes a difference. Last night it happened while I was on speakerphone, I can't remember if I was also on speaker the first time it happened. In any case, the alert sounded weird, like it was completely "off key", to use a music term. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a hardware or software thing? Is there an official acknowledgment regarding this?

txt message alert sound while in a call? distorted, messed up?

I get a similar thing, now and then a sms tone sounds very odd then its ok again. Or when I got it the tone it makes is like a squelch compared to normal. This is on the 3GS yeah?
