Ok so a while back (cant remember before which update) I was able to receive a txt message and all it said was "New Txt Message" without the persons name. Since the update I can only get it to say "Name Text Message".

Is there any way to have the iphone not show who is txt'ing you?

Thanks for the help,
Mike

No, as for now there's no way to change this. It's always gonna show the name of the person texting you.

But if it's a secret who's texting you, why don't you just change the name of that contact to something like "mum", and put on passlock code and turn of the "preview message". Then it'll only say
"Text-message Mum"

I have the passcode lock and sms preview off.

Just in general don't like people seeing who's txt'ing. Maybe the new update will have it? ill cross my fingers.
