This happens to me all the time: I'll use the magnifying glass to go back and correct something and it will start me off with a capital letter, even right in the middle of a sentence or right in the middle of a word, where nothing there was previously capitalized, nor was caps lock on. Why on earth would it do this? I know I'm not mistakenly hitting the Shift button, I can't figure it out and it's driving me nuts. It's not reliably reproducible, but it happens often enough to be annoying. Also happens on the iPhone. Anyone else have this issue?
