Hi, everyone—I’m new to Android, so I think I have a basic question that I can’t seem to find an answer to...

I recently bought a Galaxy Tab A8 and have used bluetooth to attach a Logitech K811 keyboard.

For the life of me, I cannot set up the keyboard to type international characters—accents, tildes, etc. I’ve set the Settings > General management > Language and input > Physical keyboard to English-International but to no avail.

Any ideas? A software download perhaps? Is there anywhere I can go to get such an answer because Google links are ancient and Reddit users are ignoring me LOL!.

Try holding down the key and see if you get the selection screen popup for them for the letter needed. It works on the devices I have tried it with, my android phone and macos.

Go into Settings > Language & Input, select your physical keyboard, change keyboard layout, select the language you want and unselect previously selected language(s).
