Just wondering if I just need typing lessons or what? I have had an ipad 2,4, Air 2, Pro 9.7" and now Gen 2 12.9". I used to have zero typing issues unles I blatantly made the typo. But starting as soon as I updated back when ios 10 first released, seems as if I had the Air 2 then. Anyway, began to notice I would constantly type the letter next to the one I wanted. Especially the words the, that show up tge, tgat consistently. Or c or m when hitting space bar. I am typing the same way, same angle I did (ring finger right handed method) as I did on my earlier ipads w/earlier ios versions and I never had that happen. Just wondered if its just me?

Which keyboard are you using? Onscreen or Smart Keyboard? Either way, the keyboards are larger on the 12.9. I always made mistakes typing on the 9.7 (both onscreen and Smart Keyboard) due to the more compact keys and spacing. But, with the 12.9, it has a truly full size keyboard. Maybe you just need some time to adjust to the new size keyboard?

Onscreen keyboard. And I had thought that the larger keyboard of the 12.9 would surely help but nope same as always, has happened ever since ios 10. And autocorrect would fix it but I had to turn that crazy thing off years ago. My point to this topic was wondering if others have this same issue.

For whatever the hell its worth, when I first got my gen 1 big iPad I had some terrible typing issues too. I don't know what it was? Maybe my brain just wasn't used to typing on the new keyboard layout and you don't really realize how much typing is done reflexively without thinking. it was like I had to retrain myself how to type on a new layout, so I initially started typing slowly and looking at the keys. Getting used to where to put my fingers and not just you know...trying to type without thinking like I usually do. After about a week of doing that, I got so used to typing on the new keyboard I was at the point where I didn't have to look anymore. Typing on the onscreen keyboard right now actually.

So, take it slow. Chill. Approach the keyboard like its the first time you're typing on it and take your time getting used to it. Then come back in a week and tell us how you're doing
