It says "To set a custom background, go into settings, wallpaper and set a custom wallpaper. Be sure to respring.

I cant figure out how to change it though.

sounds fairly straight forward to me. what is it that you're not able to figure out? what happens once u follow the instructions and change the wallpaper in settings? does your screen remain black, or does the background not change at all...

if all else fails, try using ifiles and going into the theme's config.jss file and changing the background file source there.

g'luck.

Yes screen stays black.

And I have no idea how to use config.jss. Oh well theme not for me then.

no no, chill... that's normal. its how i started out too. it sounds complicated but once u get it, its pretty simple.

for starters, get ifile from cydia.
use ifiles and go to /var/stash/themes

do that and then reply. u've to change the file there. its not rocket science, trust me. if i could do it, anybody can. :D

what he means is the theme comes up but right beneath it it says

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"To set a custom background, go into settings, wallpaper and set a custom wallpaper. Be sure to respring."

even after going to settings and changing wallpaper, the wallpaper doesn't show. even after respringing. i tried it earlier.

I've changed the wallpaper in settings and resprung and even turned my phone off and back on but that text "To set a custom background, go into settings, wallpaper and set a custom wallpaper. Be sure to respring" will NOT disappear from lockscreen. Sad cause I really like this theme and was running it on my 4S on 5.0 with zero issues but now on 6.1 and can not for the life of me get that "To set a custom background, go into settings, wallpaper and set a custom wallpaper. Be sure to respring" OFF the screen. Ugh! So frustrating!

If you like the theme you can install Typophone Weather and then download an app in the App store (.99 cents) called Typophone weather and then what you get is instead of that text thats driving us crazy you'll see the current weather. I prefer NO WEATHER on my lockscreen and wanted the simple Typophone date and time but for now this will work I guess.

It's difficult to tell exactly what people are or aren't doing but make sure you're setting the Lock Screen (or Both) in the Wallpaper settings.

I set both plenty times. I'm wondering if its a problem in Winterboard. Ironically I installed this theme just last week on a friends iPhone 5 and no issues. I have 4S so not sure if this is the problem. We both jailbroke using evasi0n and both are running 6.1 so the only difference is iphone model. no clue how to fix it. But the Typophone Weather theme is also a problem. Nothing will appear on lockscreen. No notifications of any kind. Not even Snooze when alarm goes off which is VERY frustrating. Contacted developer and he said Winterboard is the problem.

dont you have to download the app from apples app store for this jailbreak app?

then you can customize the whole thing through that app

hmm..aren't you supposed to check typophon4 in winterboard themes, then respiring..then select yr lock screen wallpaper,respiring..all should be good?

did this on iOS 5.1.1 jb now ios 6.1 no problems with typophone4 on my side
