So I installed a 15Gb partition for Windows XP Pro SP2 and now my Santa Rosa Macbook Pro takes a solid 3-4 minutes to boot up and lose the lag that makes it unusable. It used to boot up around 30 seconds.
I wanted fat32 so that I could share files between the systems, however I would rather have my startup time back. Should I reformat NTFS so that OS X can't read it and won't hog up all my resources? Or does it show up anyway, but you just can't write to it?
I've tried resetting my pram which someone said helped in another forum, no such luck for me. Are there other solutions?
