Hi, I don't want to order the free Ubuntu CDs so I downloaded them. Once it finished downloaded, I wanted to burn it into a CD so I just dragged all the files onto the CD and burned it, and now when I try to run off the CD it will not work. Did I do something wrong?

You have to burn/copy the disk image file. Use Toast or Disk Utility for that. Dragging the files won't work.

open the disk utility from the utilites folder under applications. then open up the Ubuntu ISO. insert the disk and then burn it at 8x for the best outcome. i just burned a disk the other day and it worked great.

so I go on Diskutility, click on the whitediskfolder that is the Linux ISO, click on new image, click on untitled DVD, than for the options it has Encryption, Size, and Format, what do I put for those?

You don't make a new image.

In the menu Images -> Burn.
