Ubuntu dual boot anyone

Howdy Folks:

Have been getting kernel panics daily now since an issue with Transmission 1.01 and iTunes update ;

I will like to install a 500G Hard Drive into this G5 iMac 17" 1.8 and fresh install Tiger and Ubuntu - dual boot these -
Anyone done such here - have read a few things I scoped on the web

thought i would ask the wizards here ....

Does Ubuntu have a PPC version? My suggestion would be to back everything you want to keep on the external drive and do a fresh install of tiger.

according to the Ubuntu Wiki site - many have been successful installing 7.04 Feisty Ubuntu Linux - has a section dedicated for Apple PPC users
