So, I thought it was the iso that had the problem but it isn't. I've tried 4 times with different files to burn Ubuntu to a disk to install on my Macbook but it fails every time. Is there a trick to this?
I did this yesterday, and it worked fine. What kind of error messages are you getting?
Have you successfully burned other discs?
That should be it. Have you tried actually using the CD? Maybe the verification is mistaken?I have. Just so I know I'm not making a dumb mistake, you just click Burn then select the .iso image, and that's that right?
Have you tried a different brand or batch of media? I have one spindle of discs that will never verify. (I still use them for burning audio CDs as the occasional bit error matters much less on an audio CD.)
Also try burning at a slower speed.
