Ubuntu on a MBP?

Hi,

I downloaded the latest Ubuntu OS and burned a Live CD. The CD worked fine on my wifes compaq laptop but failed to load Desktop X I think. Has anyone managed to get it to work on a MBP C2D.

try www.ubuntuforums.org They have a whole forum dedicated to macintels and are much more likely to be of help.

If memory serves it works fine, but I haven't checked for a while so could have remembered wrong.
