Just Felt Like Sharing here is Ubuntu Running on HTC Flyer. This Chroot hack should work with any Android device that is rooted I just happen to own an HTC Flyer. In theory the Chroot script could be rewritten for any device with a decent Unix setup like say an iDevice, Blackberry Playbook, or WebOS device. IT isn't too difficult but you can run into some problems with storage mounting and various other things but I would advise those who aren't tech saavy not to try this. I have to say despite the slow VNC performance (yes it is running on the device itself but through a local connection and not remote connection so it works without the need of another pc or internet) it surprisingly functional I can run full office programs, do coding, and the best part is I can run Mypaint a full art application works wonderfully with the HTC Flyer's Stylus. here are some pictures
Using the netbook remix

Using Backtrack instead

Instructions for running it yourself.
If you want to run it yourself their are several Chroot images to try

I was looking into doing this on my Xoom but I've found that Splashtop + Windows/OSX works prefectly for me so far.

This could be handy if I was away from my computer for any amount of time tho.

I've used remote desktop and it works OK, but the problem is that most remote desktop solutions for Android require Windows (Ubuntu user myself) and using pure VNC over a network can be even slower a lot of the time.
