So, is anyone else other than myself anxious about Ubuntu Touch? Other than webOS, which was installed on crappy hardware and was a great OS, I think Ubuntu Touch is a serious contender for my upgrade and possibly becoming my primary phone after my iPhone 5C.

Anyone else?

I was before, then I played with 1.0. :|

I want it to be great, but it doesn't feel like it is.

Ubuntu Touch has been an Alpha product for a while. I'm waiting for it to become a stable Beta and will use it once it gets to that point. Right now though, it isn't ready.

When you mean crappy hardware what parts in particular? WebOS phones had decent specs at their times of launch. I have a Palm Pre Plus knocking around.

I know that, I never said it was. And it's been an Alpha for a year and is expected to be out later this year.

Palm is crappy hardware. I think most people would agree with that. For instance, my stepdaughter had to have 3 replaced.

I can't see this gaining traction, Too many well established players vying for a maturing market.
