Ubuntu

ok so i'm interested in possibly putting Ubuntu on my macbook, but i already have OS X and XP and would like to keep both as well as install Ubuntu. if i use disk utility to create a another partition on top of the OSX and XP ones, can i install ubuntu on it? any input would be great. thanks.

i don't think that article takes into consideration if i already have windows installed through bootcamp, but it's still a good article.
