Our developer is currently out of reach, he has submitted a directory listing application for us, which is currently in approval. We have however been encountering the app to seemingly randomly crash on start up today, on the splash screen at the point of loading.

Could this be because:

a: Everyone who has submitted an UDID number is checking the app simultaneously (approx 5 people) causing it to fail
b: Apple is testing and approving whilst the above is also happening causing it to fail
c: Another, more serious problem...

The directory pulls information from a database online, which is outputting XML. This has all be checked and its live and correct.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately c: is your answer.

It would have to be an incredibly poorly designed app and web server API that would cause it to return bad data, or no data, when a mere 5 people were trying to access it simultaneously. But of course the app shouldn't crash anyway even if it *does* get bad data or no data from the web server.
