I have one suggestion. Don't buy the phone, I know that idea is just crazy enough to work but in the off chance that it may. Give it a shot

Seriously, who cares. There's plenty of phones I would consider "ugly," I don't give them too much thought, I just move on to thinking about better things

phone problems are probably due to carriers overselling their 3g network. the iPhone is notorious for overloading networks as people are using it to its full ability more.

I love my iPhone for all of the abilities it has, but I've had better PHONES.

I have to say that call quality, battery life, and reception are better on my iPhone 3G than on any previous phone I have owned. I have obviously not owned every phone there is, but I am very happy with my iPhone as a PHONE.
