I currently have the family plan for two Iphones (2G).
my service plan is 700 min + unlimited night and weekends + mobile to mobile for $59.99 and second line for $9.99.
both data service + 200 messages for 20 each.

If I upgrade 2G to 3GS, basically, I only need to change $30 for data and extra $5 for 200 messages and keep my current calling plan.
Am I correct?

i did the same thing so yes you are correct. Also be aware that texts over your 200 limit are 10 cents on the 3gs and only 5 cents on the 2g. I know because I noticed my wife who still uses the 2g only gets charged 5 cents for extra texts. I called at&t today to confirm the pricing was correct.

Right. You no longer get any texts bundled in.

so if you want literally the exact same thing you have now with the 3G, it will cost you and extra $15 per line.

sometimes AT&T employees does not have any clues on Iphone.
that's why I posted here ^__^

my wife and I only used less than 50 text messages per a month so don't need more than 200 message plan.

I think I am ready for 3GS :D
thanks for the reply.
