I just went ahead and did a clean re-jailbreak on a custom 3.1.3 that I made with sn0wbreeze. I have a 3gs, old bootrom, it was on 3.1.2 with 5.11.07 bb. So, it finished the jb, and connected to itunes, where I said set up as new phone. Then it tried syncing a ringtone to my phone, and said it couldnt because there was no connection with the phone. Now the phone is stuck at the boot logo, with a frozen swirly loading bar.
I thought maybe it was a bad jb, so I re jb again.... same thing.

Any thoughts? I dont know what I did wrong.

I'll tell you what you did wrong - you used snowbreeze.

What did you expect? High quality software? Have you seen their website? It's awful! They host their official software on mediafire. How reliable did you honestly expect it to be?

Restore to 3.1.2 and use redsn0w.

Nah... It wasnt that, its that I was on an older version of sn0wbreeze that still thought you could use blacksn0w... but the newer version doesnt support it.

So now the phone is working.

Besides the fact that they stole code, I dont see a huge problem with the program... I mean after all they did steal it from the best jb tool there is. didnt they? ;)

here is the thing

Nothing is really known about Sn0wbreeze devlopers or anything else other then they took the code rewrote it. what else they added or did to it unknown! also both the Dev-team (who have never asked for a single dime or accepted it) or George Hotz recommend Sn0wbreeze since these are the only trusted jb unlock sources that is good enough for me! I think if they felt it was good and stable and well done they wouldn't have any issues! ;)

Saurik has stated that by far most of the recent problems he has come across are the result of people using sn0wbreeze (even the latest version). It's just bad software, and should be avoided.
