I accidentally deleted the "Desktop" folder in my home folder, and created it again, and now I cant put anything on my desktop.

I need to fix this problem ASAP.

Please help!

were you completely trashed when you 'deleted' your desktop folder? i don't even know how you could consciously do it?

Permissions?

The permissions for the Desktop were probably wrong when you created the new Folder.
In the Finder go to your home directory and select the "new" desktop folder you created and press command-I this will bring up the info for your desktop.
Under the Ownership & Permissions flyout menu, it should look like this:

You can : READ & WRITE

Details
Owner: admin
Access: Read & Write

Group: staff
Access: No Access

Other: No Access

When you logged out and back in it corrected that problem.
