iPod uh-oh, forgot to deauthorize exchanged MBP

I recently had to exchange my MBP under warranty b/c of a hardware issue and I forgot to deauthorize iTunes on it before I did the return. Is there any way to deauthorize it remotely or within iTunes? Is that something the Apple tech would do when they format it?

Unless you've used up all your authorisations*, who cares?

*even if you have, you can reset the lot anyway.

I think they only allow this once a year -- so don't make the same mistake again...

You will only see the "Deauthorize All Computers" selection in the menu if you have used up all 5 authorizations. Otherwise, the selection will be to only deauthorize that specific computer.

Any I've read that you can only use the deauthorize all computers once a year. Not sure if that's a 12 month period, or a single calender year.

I might just do that. I don't really have a need to deauthorize the two 'puters I don't have anymore, but I do like to keep things neat and tidy and having my only machine now (current MBP) as the only authorization appeals to me.
