:/ no aperture asked me if I wanted to delete them after I imported them. i said yes. fudge. such a n00b mistake.

If it is in Aperture, then you can still recover them from Aperture's trash (in v.3 it is in the program) and in v.2 it (was) in your trash.

Other than that, you can't really get back stuff that you've deleted, although there are programs that recover images from SD cards etc. - but they can be pricey.

If you haven't shot new photos on the SD card yet you can probably still recover them. The key is don't use the SD card at this point for anything other then running recovery.

Personally I've had good luck with the Rescue Pro package that comes free with Sandisk Extreme CF cards.

I know many photographers who swear by PhotoRescue which has a free demo that will show you whether it can recover your images before you have to buy it.

I use PhotoRec its free. It saved me 2 weeks ago when I deleted and wrote over video files on my SD card. Files were recovered just their file names had changed. Its so good.
