I just have to say, I bought a 15 inch MBP C2D, 2.33 GHz, 2 GB RAM in January, and really see why the difference between Macs and PCs --

Honestly I find myself touching PCs rarely -- how strange, and I have never had experience in using a Mac before, it really is easy, that is after a shorth readjustment period from Windows when I found the Mac incomprehensible, but that passed after a week.

Its a joy, and not to drag the point, I really dont know if i have a glossy or matte screen -- pretty weird huh?

The screen is really vivid and colors crisp and clear, i checked the About Mac and documentation coming in the box ,,, but really am not asure, ,how can i conclusively be sure of wat i have.

I had it shipped from Dubai to Libya, so long journey and clueless about wat kinda screen i have -- but happy with it all the same !

When the brightness is off / the computer is off, can you see a reflection in the screen?

If so, you have a glossy screen :)

cant see any reflections while the screen is on, thats for sure, and when its off and viewed from an angle i just see shadows but not a clear reflection ,,

Im guessing its matte,, i have a Dell Inspiron ,, forgot the model, the small 12 incher, and it reflects really clear --

So i guess i matte is easier on the eyes and doesny show grease and dust easy -- like the glossy screen on my Dell does -

This MBP screen just needs a brushoff weekly and screen is great ,,

Hmm, I have a glossy screen on my regular Macbook, and I don't really get reflections if I'm in normal lighting. If you go outside and you see alot of glare, you most likely have a glossy. If you don't really get a reflection, then you most likely have matte.

Remember, Glossy displays ushually have brighter, richer colors.

Ill try working outdoors or in strong lighting to double check -- the screen I have is extremelhy bright, vivid, colors crystal clear, by far the best I've ever seen.

If this is the matte screen. i wonder wat the glossy would be like, unless mine is a glossy !lol

Have you seen a MacBook screen before? If it looks similar to the MacBook the it's a glossy. (MacBooks only come with glossy screens)
