Just posting here to see if anyone else has noticed this odd bug.

If you log out of your account (not after a restart and first logging in), there is a flashing grey square on the lefthand side of the screen. Can anyone replicate this?

EDIT:

I tried restarting and it still showed up. Its a large 300x300ish px square that flashes on the grey weave background.

EDIT 2:

Can no longer replicate this, not sure what happened? Questions still stand.

I have also encountered this glitch. It can occur after a restart or a logout, though I don't think it always happens.

I have a hackintosh so I assumed it was a graphics driver glitch (GTX 560 Ti).

Update: This seems to be fixed in 10.8.2.

To make this easier to search for:
Mountain Lion login square
10.8 login grey square
os x login flashing square

Yup. Running 10.8 on a current gen Mac Pro 5,1 and this happens after restart, logout. Don't know why. Reported it to Apple engineers in my ADC account.
