UI design quirks

When I swipe left or right on my iPhone through pages of apps, the menu icons at the top stay where they are.

On Mac OS when I swipe through desktops the whole menubar and clock swipes too. I know the actual menu changes but I think a fade for that would be better and to keep the Apple logo, all the menubar icons and the clock to stay in place. The Dock is stationary.

Anyone else agree?

When selecting text, if you go to far past the selection, it deselects. Like on a Windows computer. Lame. Used to be you could go past the selection quite a far bit.
