UK 12” Smart Cover/case alternative

For UK - anyone found a case or third party case for the new 12” iPad?

I have bought the new keyboard folio, and really dislike it. I prefer using a proper external Bluetooth keyboard. So I was thinking of getting a stand and cover, a Smart Cover seemed to be the most sensible option. The Apple version is £99! Which seems a bit ridiculous.

Anyone have any luck with third party solutions?

I have ordered the same keyboard. I can’t get on with the keyboard folio, even though the construction feels really good and it provides a stable platform to type and use in the lap. Hoping that this will do, otherwise I will end up spending £100 on the Smart Cover folio.

That's great to hear, I have one arriving tonight.

Whilst I like typing on the keyboard folio I dislike having to open the iPad like a hardback book and don't like having to use it completely flat or propped up and quite an angle. Plus £200 is quite hard to swallow.

Received mine tonight and I have to say it is.... really very good (despite the price increase). Fit is decent, quality seems good and sleep/wake works as it should. Result!

Yes the back is firmly held in place with magnets.

Yeah, think they know they’re on to a winner with a lack of suitable alternatives. Only wish I’d ordered when it was even cheaper

I’ve now returned the iPad (and gone with the 11” version) so am looking to find a new home for it. £24 delivered in the UK (it’s literally as new and sleep wake works perfectly)...
