O2 have released an App. Just thought I'd keep UK users up-to-date. Let's you keep track of your inclusive texts and minutes, as well as bill info, tariff info, and iPhone help within the app.

There are many good apps that already do this but the better ones aren't free!

I got this the other day. It's pretty useful, though I've noticed it sometimes takes a few attempts before connecting properly.

There are several other Apps that aren't as extensive but provide bill info, minutes/txts info and other things. But the other apps are nicer and get to the point quicker.

Yeah I grabbed this the other day... Wouldn't connect the first day I got it but worked yesterday.

Does the job and its free :)

This is on my main page - downloaded it a few days ago. Nice to be able to ensure I stay within quota.

Yeah I see your point because I had the 'Allowance' app that does it more simpler. But I just guess I like having an official O2 one!

I use allowance at the moment and that works fine.

i downloaded this but everytime i try to connect an error relating to the network is always displayed.

I have just downloaded this app. I prefer MobileMinute, it works in the same way but lets you know if you are due to go over your contracted allowance. See attached.

I downloaded the o2 app the other day and it's pretty useful, saves trying to login to the horrible o2 website at least.

I love how mine shows like '101994' text messages available and 0 used.
Basically unlimited, I guess it's a nice little loop hole that I keep falling into with o2. This is the 3rd month I've had unlimited text messages and 2 months ago I didnt even top up to get the free allowance! (PAYG not contract)

I have also noticed that it doesn't always login first time. I was getting a 406 error yesterday (some problem with http headers i think) But it seems to be working fine today.

Is MobileMinute compatible with o2 PAYG?

I've already spent too much money on the iPhone to warrant spending more on it.

Maybe when I can get the simplicity SIM on O2 at £20 a month I will buy more apps, but until February, I am done with buying things.

Seems we did the same thing! I find 'Allowance' much more usable. I keep to O2 app on the last page of my apps in case I need anything more than minutes/texts left and such but other than that, it's fugly. Who the hell chose to use those 'speedometer' things? Ugh.

I've had this for several days now and I still can't get it to work. I've managed to get as far as choosing a PIN, but now, whenever I enter the PIN, it hangs and then closes.

Is there something else I can try to get it to work, because it would be really useful to have..?

I have the same issue. From the O2 forum:
"This issue seems to be affecting a small number of user, but this is something we are working to fix and should be addressed in the next update release of the application"

Yeah I just downloaded this. Works a treat. Much better than sending a blank text. Alot of the reviews say can't log in etc. Mine worked first time.

Very handy little app for free

Mine logged in first time too. However I will keep the "allowance" app as the MyO2 App takes forever to get me my info! Especially with the silly PIN rubbish

Thanks for the info, will check these apps out. I am still logging into the o2 website, or sending a blank text to 21202 to get my allowance.

The app is much more useful than having to use the web interface. And for free, you cant complain!
