UK Apps???

Guys,

What are the best UK apps in your opinion - i.e. better coverage of UK news and sport. What are your top 5 apps so far?

Yes an UK news and sport one would be cool but I don't think there is one atm.

Why would you want an app for UK news/sports? Why don't you just create a webclip of your favourite website and put that on your menu page?

The only truly UK app I've seen has been the BA one although that's really only useful if you fly a lot and it's not much quicker than going to their website.

I suspect we will end up with Underground ones etc at some point.

Btw, I know MR are a proliferate bunch but when you're asking a small proportion of users a question, bumping after 12 minutes is a tad extreme, not to mention against forum guidelines.

I don't think many iPhone developers outside the US were accepted into the Beta phase of the developer progam. Hence I would not expect to see many UK apps on opening day. I'm sure there will be plenty before too long.

Yeah, an interactive tube map that took disruption updates via RSS (so it kept the info when you went underground) and had access to the journey planner would be very useful.

I'd be nice to see a BBC news app. I miss Avantgo.
