Lots of talk about possible carriers for European countries, this one is specifically for the UK since that's all I really care about :p

Everyone has their opinion on who has good coverage and who doesn't, who sucks in general and who doesn't etc.

So given the choice, for a UK carrier who would you prefer Apple cosy up with at night given only one choice?

I'd prefer it to be on Orange or Vodafone - the best coverage in my area.

However, I wouldn't consider buying one unless it's available through a Pay-As-You-Go plan.

I can't imagine for one second they stand a hope in hell, they're not even a real carrier. I think they just piggy back on T-Mobile.

You live in Utah right? Why would you even care?

Because I use Virgin Mobile as my backup phone carrier for the iPhone. If I travel to London next year, I want to be able to have my iPhone ready to go.

Order of preference

02
3 - wont happen without 3G
Orange
Vodafone
T-Mobile
Virgin

O2, because I've always been with them and they've always been pretty good.

But then again, Three would mean 3G. But Three have awful, awful, awful coverage from what I've heard.

You'd be surprised I have two friends 1 was on T-Mobile the other on 3. By all accounts and experiences T-Moblie is worse than 3. I can always get my friend who is on 3 but when calling the buy on T-Mobile just random hope that it will get through. He has now changed to 02 and has perfect reception.
