The 2GB (2x1GB) Kit is now back in stock at Crucial.com/uk and has dropped from over £300 to £284.34.

Of course that doesn't help the fact I've just ordered RAM from Apple because Crucial has been out of stock for weeks. Thankfully the student discount made it at least slightly bearable :(

The stupid thing is, that prices each stick at £140, whereas the (x2) 512 sticks they have are priced as £170!

If i have £280 to spend on my Pro, should i upgrade to the ATI X1900 or get two gig of ram?

I personally went with the X1900 and kept 1 gig of RAM. I figured this is enough for my current needs (little proapp, mostly dailly use and games). I realize games love ram, but I figure with 512 VRAM on the card and the higher performance it was a better bang for your buck. Not to mention buying the card as a kit costs more (I think) and you can get RAM cheaper than from apple

I mainly do photography, so for me the 2GB RAM was a much more useful option than the ATI card. Either is easily upgradeable in the future, so you won't be making a big mistake picking one or the other.
