I wish I had ordered 4 hours later, seems like I would receive it far sooner :( So annoying!

Cheers for the info guys.

Going to have a little moan at apple this morning as there seems to be a lot of us from what I have readin the " Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP" mega thread that have ordered when the apple store came online or soon after and are still waiting and yet there are people that have ordered 1-2 weeks later and are getting theirs shipped.

W9135xxxxx

i7 2Tb HDD 8Gb RAM With apple care, 1 to 1 & remote.

Ordered through education store 28th October. Last night the order separeted itself so that the One to One was in a seperate shipment date (which makes no difference as I already have it). The imac, remote and apple care went to prepared to ship this morning, can't check my bank to see if payment has been taken yet as the online system is down for maintenance....

I doubt it will ship over the weekend, but hopefully first thing Monday morning for a week later delivery! :)

Don't lose hope folks...

Order Date: Nov 14, 2009 at 03:40 AM GMT
Spec: i7, 4GB Ram, 1TB HDD

:D Only ordered earlier today hehe

In my earlier post I reported an expected delivery on November 20th, this has subsequently changed to November 16th!

So I called apple again this morning to see what the hold up was with my order after seeing people who had ordered after me having theirs shipped already.

Turns out that a block was on my ordered from last Saturday when I called up because my wife is entitled to a discount. Lady I spoke to was really helpful so finally I should get to see some movement

My order for an i7 placed on 22 October went to "Shipped" status late Thursday night but as yet no tracking number, just the "Merge In Transit GB" on the main screen. Guess they are going to combine my order of my iMac from China with a UK Time Capsule and possibly Applecare in the UK / Europe before finally sending it onto me (then I guess I'll see a tracking number?). On the US Apple site it refers to Syncreon Technology as a courier, which seem to be a logistics/fullfillment company for e-commerce.

Anway, here's my shipping info. Not sure what the 17 November refers to, it would be great if that was a predicted delivery time as I'm definitely hoping they improve on the estimated delivery time of 25 November.

I have the same sort of dates (16th November and 20th November). My rough idea is that the early date (17th in your case) is referring to when the shipments are merging here (possibly Ireland as that's where Apple is based here?). And then the final date is the estimated date of arriving at you. I've heard Apple often overestimate, so chances are both of us may be getting our iMacs next week, as that's when they arrive here.

I also thought this may be the case and does make sense - fingers crossed it's by the end of next week for delivery to us:D

@Paul: not sure this helps, but a UPS tracking number appeared for me about 12 hours after Apple sent me the shipping notification, was delivered 2nd day after... so check your order status again soon and you should see a 1Z.... number.

It is still showing

Also the estimated delivery date has moved back one day.

The original estimate shown in my apple account was wildly inaccurate saying 20th november. Once the ups number appeared, I didn't bother looking again, but did follow ups pretty closely ;)

Last night my order changed to Shipped on 15th for Delivery on or before 24th. This morning apple account seems to be down for some reason so can't check latest on it....

Still, It's on its way! :)

My order

I ordered an i5 BTO through the Square Group, a UK Premium Apple reseller. After seeing the benchmark results, I decided to ring them this morning and see if I can change to the i7. My original machine is scheduled to arrive on Thursday or Friday next week. Because I bought through a reseller, I can't see the online Apple info.

Square Group are going to check with Apple tomorrow, but my i5 has probably already been made, so an i5 it is. If they can change it for an i7 then I guess it hasn't been made yet.

I ordered on 7th November but the order was probably only processed on the 9th.

Order no: W9158
Order date: 11th Nov 2009
Config: core i5, standard options.

Status: not yet shipped

Originally ordered on the 29th of Oct 2009 but Apple cancelled the entire order by error and I was told by the supervisor that he'd sent a priority note to their shanghai distribution centre, so that my new order can retain the same position. Yeah, I know - a load of tosh.
