UK iBooks - Free books?

Just downloaded the iBooks app and every single book is free.
Is this supposed to be the case?

these are the project gothenberg (sp?) books which are public domain so they will be free. new books from publishers will be added soon im guessing and u'll have to pay

The only books on there so far are the Project Gutenberg titles which are free, so yes.

I haven't heard about international paid book launches....

Anyways it's simple to visit either waterstones or wh smith stores online and but books in the epub format - then just strip the drm (SOOOO easy - google - ineptpub.py or ineptkey.py)
