UK iMac web purchases

I have just ordered a 24" iMac off the interwebnet. How are they shipped, what firm etc, and also how are they packaged? Do they come in a covered box, or the one displaying the apple logo?? Just that i aint too keen on all my neighbours knowing what i got, hehe!

And also, if the courier leaves it with next door...like they usually do i'm gonna be so mad!

If any of you have had mac's delivered, please explain how they are shipped, i'd really appreciate it

They come in a brown box. Im not sure about the rest.

The last iMac I got was delivered by UPS and came in from Shanghai.

What iMac have you ordered? A couple of people have been quoted very quick deliveries for the new model, but it looks like the 2.8GHz one is a "custom build" so will take longer to come.

One guy from Scotland placed an order on the night of the announcement and was expecting delivery today.

ordered my new 20" 2.4 imac about 4 hours after they were announced. had an email the following day to say it was dispatched.....received my new computer today!!!

shipped via ups, came about 11am in a brown box as per usual with the mac delievery. i've now got it all set up, windows on, and everything running smoothly.

you'll love it mate, you really will. by far the best purchase ive made recently! especially with the edu discount too!!

hopefully u will only have to wait 2 days like I did. It was estimated to arrive next wed, but has come in time for my birthday! woop!

We ordered the 2.8 model, so delivery is gonna be a while, but thats fine as i got an office to finish decorating for it first Gives me drive to get it done now.

Glad it comes in a brown box, cheers for the replies.

We got the edu discount too, since my wife is a uni worker and i'm a student. Tis all good being a student

I ordered a 24'' iMac the second the UK store came back online after the announcement. It turned up today (9th Aug) via UPS, but was not covered in an outer brown box. Mine came in it's iMac box for all to see...
