I read in a thread this morning that they don't buy/lease edge for data only devices. It should be a thread here on the front page.... don't ask me why i was reading it, i haven't been to England since 1986!

But it did say that it wouldn't drop down to Edge speeds.

Seamaster - yeh for sure but they network share, with orange and tmobile, and have told me even though they are 3G only that it should connect down onto other networks slower networks etc...

Will try and find that thread now! Seems off to o2 it is!!

I am on three and i can tell you that it is amazing. I commute to work, hereford to Birmingham and the only time it cuts out is when it is in hhe tunnels and one other time for 30 seconds through 1 area. This is on a train at 80mph for 95 mins. I am connected for 98% of the time through half of england. Last week i went from Birmingham to Cardiff and its the same, excellent reception. Three might not have a 2g network, but their coverage in my experience is better than O2 with their mixed 3G and edge network put together.

Not to mention cheaper, i am paying £10 for 15G of data. That's 300mb a day!

Yeh I agree, am on o2 for iphone and the 3 network is much stronger for 3G network, problem is in Norfolk and beach locations where spend most of time these are GPRS/edge locations so on three no signal at all, would rather just have some signal to check emails so registered an o2 one so as when need signal for email check and use the £2 per day option not gonna be that often so should be ok.

Just wondered if others had found it to drop onto slower network, as uk call centre and uk store seems to think it should, but india call centre say no it won't connect to slower 3rd party signal like there mobiles would as its using a mobile broadband connection.
