UK iPad power cord to charge US MBA?

I'm taking my US bought MBA 11.6 to the UK and have a UK power cord and plug that I bought for my old iPad; is it safe to slot this into the MBA's US powerbrick to charge over there? On the UK plug it says 2.5A 250V but on the US version it says 2.5A 125V. The US bought MBA powerbrick has also got on it input AC 100-240V.

will I melt my MBA?

Welcome to England!

There's no difference between your UK 250v version and your (100v to) 240v version. Its just 10v (max) which is nothing. As long as the plug fits the socket, you are good to go...

the cord is just a cord, it is the brick that handles the voltage and current. so yes, you can swap the UK cord into your MBA brick and charge your MBA with that.

in fact, you can buy this cord for £1 to £2 in electrical stores. or just borrow one from a UK stereo and it will work with your brick.
