UK iPad Question

Does anyone know if it is possible to 'trim down' a UK O2 iPhone PAYG sim card (the one that gives you 12 months free Internet) and use it in the iPad?

you can trim it down ok there is an article on engadget.com but i got a PAYG unlimited internet with my iphone and tried to use it in a blackberry i was given for work and after 30 days they sent me a text saying that I had to use the card in an iphone or it would be disconnected from the internet

What he said. I was contemplating this using the SIM I got with my full price iPhone 3GS.......until I read the small print saying they will charge you for data used if they suspect it isn't being used in an iPhone, and will also terminate the card. Could end up costing you a small fortune.
